SHERIDANS SOLICITORS

We have now formally closed down the business of Sheridans Solicitors but this need have no impact upon clients or former clients of the business. This is because Michael Sheridan has retained a private office at 166 Buchanan Street where he continues to hold all of the files and documents from Sheridans Solicitors and remains in contact with all clients and former clients through the same postal and email addresses and telephone number as for the past 40 years. Michael now conducts his business as a consultant solicitor at the firm of Russells Gibson McCaffrey, 13 Bath Street, Glasgow, G2 1HY Telephone: 0141 271 1000. However, clients and former clients of Sheridans Solicitors are invited to continue to contact Michael through his direct line on 0141 332 3536 or by email to michael@sheridanssolicitors.co.uk

Michael remains available to deal with all enquiries from clients and former clients regarding previous business. However, all future business conducted by Michael shall be conducted through Russells Gibson McCaffrey. If Michael holds any documents or files regarding your own previous business at Sheridans and if you would prefer to transfer these files or documents to a different solicitor then please instruct that solicitor to obtain your mandate (written authority) to uplift your documents and/or files and that will be attended to. Please note that a general reference to “documents and/or files” may not be a sufficient instruction and you require to specify the documents and/or files which are required

In the meantime Michael will be making direct contact with clients and former clients of Sheridans Solicitors to advise them of the change and offer to continue to provide services through Russells Gibson McCaffrey or otherwise to assist in the transfer of their papers to a different solicitor of the client’s choice.

Our society guards jealously individual rights and the making of a Will is the exercise of just one such right. Where no Will exists a person’s estate on their death is dealt with in terms of the laws of intestacy. Those laws set down a frame work which reduces the options for close family members and friends surviving the deceased and also disregards any preference or choice the deceased may have made during life. If you would like to discuss reviewing an existing will or instructing a will for the first time with one of our solicitors, please complete this form and we will be in touch as soon as possible.
